If you have ever water-skied , driven a
boat, flown a float plane or as some did this summer, flown a hovercraft on a body of water, you will
understand what I mean by getting up and on to the step. It is the time when the period of greatest
water resistance bleeds away and you can feel the craft really starting to make
progress. When you are waterskiing, you can
often wonder if the battle is worth it... in a float plane and hovercraft it is
part of the ride... but with a CAMP it
is the most exhilarating and overwhelming experience I think I ever had.
ON THE STEP
In 2010 the possibility of a camp in Middle
Park was a dream, a collection of questions more than answers, and a list of
logistics problems that kept most of us up at night....pondering solutions that
would have to have answers for the camp to survive... BUT in 2013... Camp is
now starting to seem NORMAL.. We had a new state of the art blob tower, we had
access to a permanent barn to be used for the summer and for off season
projects as well. We have city mains
water, and compliant gas services, a new access road, a sports field and even
yes a mailbox. This once dream is
building more and more momentum with the new lease and with a board of directors
who have demonstrated that they are in this for the long haul.

Over 600 people attended the camp. |
This summer just over 600 people attended the
camp in various capacities, plans for 2014 are already being talked about that
will dwarf these numbers. Middle Park is
no longer an Idea, it is a sustainable tool to be used for the Lord in the
Celtic nations. To all of you who have
sacrificed, supported and worked to make this dream come true. I must say thank you...
The highlight of my summer though was not
found in the ‘camp’ itself. It was found
in the ‘by-product’ of the camp.
Approximately 19 youth from Edinburgh came to know Jesus in a personal
way week 2 of camp. But reports came
back that over 80 kids attended the campaigner's Bible Study when they got
home... Thank you all for supporting praying and making these dreams come true
fro our Lord....
PRAYER NEEDED
On a personal note....Since coming back from Camp Sept 2nd. I have not been able to get out of bed in any
way shape or form as I have pinched a sciatic
nerve. Though I am enjoying the
rest to a degree. It is becoming very
difficult to finalize the Africa Mission Trip for the 3rd week in
October. Please pray that I get mobility
back soon as I am not sure how to do life on my back.....

Valencia from the Lehae centre is currently
visiting us here in Wales. With the
success of her school, they are desperately in need of a second floor for
expansion. This will be a material heavy trip, though the project
itself is not that tough. If you would
like to contribute funds towards a shipping container it would be greatly
appreciated. It may be done in a number
of ways now...
