Another year has come and gone and as I stop to pause and to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour and refocus on my family and friends, I trust that this letter finds you in the same mind-set; not too fractured by shopping nor to full from the abundance that most of us take for granted.   I wish you peace on earth, and peace in your soul as you prepare it for heaven as we all must do. A Good Chance to Visit (Back in Canada!) Through a gift from my sister and a friend in the US, it is going to be possible to take the whole family home this February to western Canada for 5 weeks from Feb 1 to March 6 th .   We really want to connect with as a many people as possible, some of you we have already started to try to organize dates.   So if you want to see us for any extended time, or if you have a group of friends that you feel we should get together with, please send us an email or Facebook message.   We have chosen not to have formal dates to get together this year as important relationships are hard to build on at these events.   Instead we are planning on using more of our time face to face.   Below are a rough list of dates we will be in various cities.   If it doesn’t fit exactly let me know as we can still change them a few days either way to accommodate. Every year I come home to report on what has happened in our world, and to solicit funds for the next year of ministry.   This year was amazing as I toured from Calgary to Vancouver and even Grande Prairie, meeting with those who share the same vision of reaching out beyond our comfort zone to youth.   Many of you pledged financial support this year for which we are very grateful.   This note is a reminder that we will be spending most of your pledges in the development phases of camp in April and May.   If we could have the funds to the Trinity Foundation by the 30th of March it would be greatly appreciated.

This is the 12 th year that we are serving in the UK and we will once again not be in Canada for Christmas.   With family at such a distance, this season often fills me with reflections awakened by the appearance of several distinct worlds which emerge in the UK as people precipitate around their own traditions…often songs reflect well where they are coming from. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer The first world is filled with those are going to have   “The best Christmas ever!” , what the event is about is immaterial to most, it is just going to be the best Christmas ever.... 2012 has been an amazing year .    We did build the school, we did move the camp and get a new lease, and we have seen lots of youth come to know Jesus Christ. But I know that this often is just words, and the only way that I can express clearly to you what is going on is in person.   Therefore, like clockwork, I will be back in Canada to visit with friends who support and believe in our ministry.   I will be making calls in the next few weeks to invite you to various events that we will be hosting in Calgary, Kelowna and possibly in Grande Prairie and Vancouver in February.   As well I have extended my trip to 4 weeks so I can have more time to be part of your world as well.   Please let me know if you would like to visit with me 1 on 1 during my time home.    Just send me an email   and I will try to get to you.. .. As I send out these posts I intend the title to have multiple levels of meaning. This month "Going Home" was so painfully obvious to me that it had to be said. Why? 1.   BRIGITTE & I WILL BE GOING HOME February 1 to 14 we will be in Calgary and Kelowna, catching up with friends and getting people excited about the growing work here in the UK and South Africa. With this level of development there are always more needs. We will be looking for people and organizations to partner with us to make the Message of Jesus Christ clear and relevant here in the UK and South Africa. We are hosting an evening event in Calgary (Feb. 01) and Kelowna (Feb. 11) for friends and partners. Brigitte and I will be heading back to Canada for 2 weeks in February 1 to 14th. The first week will be spent with Calgary friends and the second with those in BC. We would love to hook up and see as many people as we can to share the dream and the adventures of what is growing in Younglife International, the camp and the work projects. AND with Brigitte there, you might get more of an honest glimpse at our everyday life. We will have a large group social in Kelowna  and Calgary so please when you get this info please keep the day clear, or please book a visit with Tara Ray who will coordinate our visit.
