As we head into the summer mayhem once again, it is my prayer that we all will have the ability to slow down, to embrace the natural beauty that God created all around us, to be still and know that He is God, and by doing so have the time to cut the jungle of business from our line of site long enough to re acquaint ourselves with our first love, and then the dreams He has for us. Christianity is not the absence of sin, but the fullness of life... Can you see what it is that God is calling you to? We are here to provide that sort of clarity over and over again in life after young life. Getting kids to camp is always an important step as we encourage everyone to stand back and get perspective. Hand me the spiritual chain saw. There is lots of work to be done this summer.

These pictures show the new opening cut into the tree line to expose a beautiful man made 400 year old pond to be used for this summer’s Powis camp. Once these trees hit the water, it became apparent that this is going to be good... really good, exposing the potential of this body of water as a tool to encourage youth to grasp life to the max. The pond will house the blob, the end point of a waterslide, and hopefully a short zip line with a dip in the near future, which will be the last optional station of the new low ropes course being constructed in the woods adjacent.
This untapped natural resource in mid Wales is a reminder to me that people cannot always see the potential of something because of a clouded view. Not seeing the forest anymore due to the trees of life we can easily lose our way and our desire to continue to run the race. Day to day life blinds the visions we have when we first start to follow Jesus Christ; it can stand in the way of what we are about as people... trying to make a difference in our world for the Lord.

Way Too Long

‘Stop the world I want to get off’….. no, not really.  I love the adventure! I must admit the pace is a little more than I wanted and the scheduling at best has been a little chaotic.  However, over the past 3 months so many great things have happened to help the poor and the needy in South Africa, Gambia, Kenya and yes, still in Wales, that it has been worth the step of faith from the safety of YL. I will provide an update for each. Our change in season is in actual fact more of a personal seasoning… Releasing the skills we have developed over our adult lives to do more to make a difference in the world for which we were appointed bond servants to the most high God.  Our lives will always be about HIS ministry, His work and for His glory.  Thus, the name of our new venture into humanitarian and low cost housing solutions for the poor - Hebner Innovative Solutions (HIS). Take the long way home..........

Thoughout this year the only thing constant is change, the one thing that never  changes is our goal to remain faithful to Christ and continue to do our part to build His kingdom either physically or spiritually.  Whether that is; continuing on with the YMP trips, building schools and orphanages through Hope for the Nations and Rainbow FM, creating affordable gated housing in South Africa via the new venture of CHS (Container Housing Solutions)  or even returning to Middle Park to keep the camp moving forward our focus is the same.   WE are HIS workmanship created to do good works IN Christ.  WE all have one life to live and WE all will continue to have an audience of only one that really matters, now and forever.  My prayer is that WE all continue to think about our time on earth here in that light….
