As we head into the summer mayhem once again, it is my prayer that we all will have the ability to slow down, to embrace the natural beauty that God created all around us, to be still and know that He is God, and by doing so have the time to cut the jungle of business from our line of site long enough to re acquaint ourselves with our first love, and then the dreams He has for us. Christianity is not the absence of sin, but the fullness of life... Can you see what it is that God is calling you to? We are here to provide that sort of clarity over and over again in life after young life. Getting kids to camp is always an important step as we encourage everyone to stand back and get perspective. Hand me the spiritual chain saw. There is lots of work to be done this summer.

These pictures show the new opening cut into the tree line to expose a beautiful man made 400 year old pond to be used for this summer’s Powis camp. Once these trees hit the water, it became apparent that this is going to be good... really good, exposing the potential of this body of water as a tool to encourage youth to grasp life to the max. The pond will house the blob, the end point of a waterslide, and hopefully a short zip line with a dip in the near future, which will be the last optional station of the new low ropes course being constructed in the woods adjacent.
This untapped natural resource in mid Wales is a reminder to me that people cannot always see the potential of something because of a clouded view. Not seeing the forest anymore due to the trees of life we can easily lose our way and our desire to continue to run the race. Day to day life blinds the visions we have when we first start to follow Jesus Christ; it can stand in the way of what we are about as people... trying to make a difference in our world for the Lord.

‘Stop the world I want to get off’….. no, not really.  I love the adventure! Well that Sucked?

Please don't misunderstand me.... Whether it be the spiritual realm or the physical realm, both contexts abhors a vacuum. To eliminate the vacuum and bring things back into balance they create “suction”.   In the physical realm things moving to the equilibrium, a static or stable point, are mensurable in their transition - but what of the spiritual realm?    It is my belief that we HAVE TO CREATE SPIRITUAL VACUUMS TO SENSE GOD ON THE MOVE.   You might say “We are not supposed to put ourselves in a position where God is tested” -but I challenge you to see it as a natural extension of your faith journey.   If we do not live 'by faith' but only take part in activities we know we can do -activities that we know we can accomplish within the boundaries of our own strength - how can we expect to experience God’s rushing-in to fill the gap? The Problem with ‘Neutral’

‘Christianity is not the absence of sin, but the fullness of life’.   It is a modification of John 10:10, where Christ is quoted, ‘I have come to give you life and life abundantly’.    For years this has been my mantra, to understand the sovereignty of God and to get on with stepping out in faith.   Recently I heard the catch phrase, ‘If you are saved you serve’.   And I must admit that I liked this… I liked it a lot.   Fullness of life is found in the reality of moments, in which we are present and choose to embrace those around us and reach beyond our circle to express love and support. Nothing more, nothing less than harvesting the opportunities before us on a moment by moment basis through serving with the gifts that God has given us. It is in this focus on others we find Joy, and not wanting to be cheesy, remembering that JOY is spelt Jesus, Others, and then You….
