Rainbow FM work day 100 people showed up to mix concrete by hand.


First sunday school class was held even before the wall was in.

Had to cut down a Mango tree and coconut tree before work began
 

First containers assembled on road as forklift got stuck.

poles like the Egyptians.. .2 days hard graft

Roof level and ready to receive second floor

Off to get the crane… very intense on the roads. 
More so going through the cart paths they call roads where the building will be.

The lift took under 1 hr for both apartments.

Cape Town 2014  Photo Review (Khayelitsha School Build)

BEFORE
School 20 x 70  plus one abandoned container (which we transform later)

Outside toilets and ‘medical centre which needs to be moved’

17 cu/m of earth had to be moved by hand.

Old container being moved to new location as staff room, and teacher offices
New bathroom container coming in 6 toilets and a shower.
