Take the long way home..........

Thoughout this year the only thing constant is change, the one thing that never  changes is our goal to remain faithful to Christ and continue to do our part to build His kingdom either physically or spiritually.  Whether that is; continuing on with the YMP trips, building schools and orphanages through Hope for the Nations and Rainbow FM, creating affordable gated housing in South Africa via the new venture of CHS (Container Housing Solutions)  or even returning to Middle Park to keep the camp moving forward our focus is the same.   WE are HIS workmanship created to do good works IN Christ.  WE all have one life to live and WE all will continue to have an audience of only one that really matters, now and forever.  My prayer is that WE all continue to think about our time on earth here in that light…. The Problem with ‘Neutral’

‘Christianity is not the absence of sin, but the fullness of life’.   It is a modification of John 10:10, where Christ is quoted, ‘I have come to give you life and life abundantly’.    For years this has been my mantra, to understand the sovereignty of God and to get on with stepping out in faith.   Recently I heard the catch phrase, ‘If you are saved you serve’.   And I must admit that I liked this… I liked it a lot.   Fullness of life is found in the reality of moments, in which we are present and choose to embrace those around us and reach beyond our circle to express love and support. Nothing more, nothing less than harvesting the opportunities before us on a moment by moment basis through serving with the gifts that God has given us. It is in this focus on others we find Joy, and not wanting to be cheesy, remembering that JOY is spelt Jesus, Others, and then You…. Way Too Long

‘Stop the world I want to get off’….. no, not really.  I love the adventure! I must admit the pace is a little more than I wanted and the scheduling at best has been a little chaotic.  However, over the past 3 months so many great things have happened to help the poor and the needy in South Africa, Gambia, Kenya and yes, still in Wales, that it has been worth the step of faith from the safety of YL. I will provide an update for each. Our change in season is in actual fact more of a personal seasoning… Releasing the skills we have developed over our adult lives to do more to make a difference in the world for which we were appointed bond servants to the most high God.  Our lives will always be about HIS ministry, His work and for His glory.  Thus, the name of our new venture into humanitarian and low cost housing solutions for the poor - Hebner Innovative Solutions (HIS).
