Take the long way home..........

Thoughout this year the only thing constant is change, the one thing that never  changes is our goal to remain faithful to Christ and continue to do our part to build His kingdom either physically or spiritually.  Whether that is; continuing on with the YMP trips, building schools and orphanages through Hope for the Nations and Rainbow FM, creating affordable gated housing in South Africa via the new venture of CHS (Container Housing Solutions)  or even returning to Middle Park to keep the camp moving forward our focus is the same.   WE are HIS workmanship created to do good works IN Christ.  WE all have one life to live and WE all will continue to have an audience of only one that really matters, now and forever.  My prayer is that WE all continue to think about our time on earth here in that light…. It's been a while my friend....

SKIING IN AFRICA It has been a while since I have taken the time to write.   Mostly because life has looked a great deal more like a black diamond mogul run than the typical groomed slope of routine ministry here in the UK.   When you work with larger national charities such as Young Life and Urban Saints, seasonal routines of ministry come and go like trees passing along a gentle descending ski slope on a sunny spring day in the Rockies.   Don’t get me wrong, all of events and tasks are important, relevant in how and what they are designed to accomplish here in the UK.   But I could only parallel it with skiing a green run from the top of Lake Louise, loving the wind in my face as I had the time and the luxury to look up from the hill and see the glory of God’s creation in the blue sky and stark white snow.    My direction on this run, a collection of weight forward calculated carves bathed in prayer, consensus, tradition and community.   Sinc...

Mid Summer Camp News

Since July 4 th I have had the privilege of working with just under 900 kids and leaders at camp .   Many of them hearing the good news of Jesus Christ the first time .   Others hearing it in a fresh and vibrant way.   ( Click to see photos of all the fun ) SEEDS SOWN   Vibrant and fresh presentation of the good news. As the lights go on in the souls of many of these teens, I often am quieted to think about their future as they go home.   Some face rocky soil, parents that will flat out tell them they are wrong, have made a mistake, and that the love in their life and the light in their eyes is a passing emotional phase.   Others will get home, perhaps even supported by parents that were hoping to introduce their youth to Christ in some way, only to see the seeds of excitement snatched away by the peer pressure and friendships that they are returning too.   15 young people from a community in Scotland will be facing such pressures as the world...
